International Conference on Significance of Counselling and its Resources for Sustainable Development Goals

the International Conference on "Significance of Counselling and its Resources for Sustainable Development Goals"; organised by Vision Divyang Foundation and its partners namely Indira Gandhi National Open University, Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Studies, University of Delhi and Sanskriti University. The programme was accredited by Rehabilitation Council of India, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India organised at Baba Saheb Ambedkar Convention Centre, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi. (Dr.) Lalit Khanna, District Governor, Rotary International District 3012 and other senior guests for participating in the deliberations on 2nd and 3rd February 2023. On the first day, three sessions were held including one International Session and fourteen speakers including three International Speakers had put their thoughts on the three themes, namely: “Urgency to review SDGs” “ Inclusion is at the heart of SDGs” and “Issues Inhibiting full Inclusion”. On the Second day three sessions were held and twelve speakers had put their thoughts on the themes “Counselling as a strategy for fuller Inclusion” , “Paradigm shift in strategy for achievement of SDGs” and “Continuous Monitoring and Innovative strategies for full Inclusion”. After the completion of the thematic sessions; the valedictory session was held. A major highlight of the event was the giving away of the “Vision SDG Awards 2023” to forty-five Individual and Five Institutional Awardees. In addition, twenty-three Speaker citations as “SDG Resource Person Awards” were also given away. It is immensely satisfying that the objective for which this International Conference was organised concluded on a very positive note. All the stake holders who participated in the conference were happy with the deliberations and assured their full commitment to help achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
