Awareness & Empowerment

Vision Divyang Foundation has undertaken various activities to raise awareness amongst different sections of the society towards issues of Divyangjan and their families. By promoting awareness, Vision Divyang Foundation is trying to sensitize and develop empathy in the society. The Foundation has conducted various Events, Camps, CBR, CRE Programmes in which Special Educators, Teachers, Counsellors, Psychologists, Rehab professionals, NGO heads, Government officials, among others have been actively involved.

Some of The Mega Event Conducted By Vision Divyang include:

  • 14th October 2016 : Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi
  • 6th September 2017 : Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi
  • Conducted training in Cross Disability for 150 School Special Educators of Government of NCT of NCT of Delhi in 2017-18
  • 24 & 25th January 2018 : India International Stadium , New Delhi
  • 2nd & 3rd December, 2019 : Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Studies, New Delhi
  • Conducted 25 camps for grass root level survey of Persons with Disabilities and connecting them with services of Govt. of India among others in various Bastis & colonies and identified nearly 1400 PWDs and delivered intelligent data to the SDM office, Alipur for necessary action
  • Conducted Sixteen Training workshops on Disability (briefing on Schemes & benefits provided being by Government) to 600 plus ASHA workers & ANMs under North Delhi District, Govt. of NCT of Delhi
  • Conducting In-Service training for School Principals of North Delhi Municipal Corporation under DEPwD, MSJE, GOI sponsored scheme
  • Partnered with Department of Social Welfare, Govt of Delhi for organizing 20 District Disability Camps.
  • Trained & sensitized nearly 8000 Teachers & Principals under North Delhi Municipal Corporation of Delhi on “Inclusion & RPWD Act 2016” in association with North MCD & ZCC-RCI
  • Facilitated nearly 600 divyangjan (of the nearly 10,000 visitors) to visit Amrit Udyan at Rashtrapati Bhawan on 29th March 2023 along with DEPWD, MJSE, GOI
  • Distributed the Divyangjan Kit to PWDs with support of ONGC Ltd. & Rotary International
  • Organised two different training programmes on “Mental Health & Wellness” with BCAS, University of Delhi
  • Training of Kendriya Vidyalaya Teachers of Delhi, Haryana & UP in June 2019
  • Organized Blood Donation camps & Thalassemia Awareness programmes & several lectures & appointed over 50 Thalassemia ambassadors
  • Regularly organizing Mega Polio Awareness Rally across 50 locations in Delhi under India National Polioplus Committee / Rotary International
  • Holding one of the biggest National level webinar on “Implications of COVID19 on Mental Health” on 29th May 2020 with speakers from MSJE, GOI, UNESCO, CBSE, AIIMS, North MCD.
  • Organized Marathon for the Persons with Disabilities in University of Delhi with Rotaractors of RID 3012
  • Advocacy for Rights of Disabled by taking out a Mega Rally on 3rd December 2014 on NH-2 (Delhi-Agra)
  • Organized Mega conclaves of Divyangjan stakeholders: “Vision Divyang” at Talkatora Stadium in the year 2016 & 2017 attended by over 200 NGOs and 1500 PwDs.
  • Holding of a Webinar on “Emotional Issues & Well-being during COVID19” in association with RC2- Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi
  • Partnered with UNESCO, RCI to organize a National Conference on “Inclusive Education as a strategy for achieving UN-SDG 2030” at IIC , Lodhi Road New Delhi on 24-25 Jan 2018;
  • Instituted several awards & scholarships in the field for Inclusive Schools & Colleges.
  • Organized an International Conference at IGNOU on 2nd & 3rd February 2023 on SDGs and Disability Studies with participation of four former Secretaries (IAS) of MSJE, Govt of India and Chairperson, NCPCR
  • Organized an International Conference at SMRRC, Narnaul Mahendergarh Haryana on 23-24-25 December 2023 on Effective Teaching Strategies for CWSN
  • Organised the “Swatchta hi Sewa” Shramdaan Utsav on 2nd October 2023 at Delhi and Faridabad.
  • Organized District Interact Leadership Assembly for nearly 200 schools with Ms. Kiran Bedi
  • Associated with Office of Commissioner Divyangjan, Government of Goa for “Purple Fest” January 2024”
  • Delegation from Texas A & M University USA visited Vision Faridabad on 11.3.24 for Disability Cooperation
  • Delivered talk to 700 students on “Holistic Development & Inclusion” at Mt. St. Mary’s School on 24.7.24
  • Participated in BHU – PARIVAR programme as resource persons for training of Parents in September 2024
  • Organised Thalassemia Screening Camp at Vision Institute Delhi on 27.9.24
  • Organized conference at Hansraj College and launched the Compendium of schemes for Divyangjan Oct-24
  • Awarded Five Women working in the field of Disability on International Women’s Day 8th March 2025
  • Participated in SIRTAR Annual Day celebrations on 23rd March 2025 and supported the Institute
  • Participated in PAHAL 25 – Hansraj College University of Delhi -Equal Opportunity Cell in March 2025
  • Participated in Purple Talk on 4/04/2025 at NISD Dwarka and floated the concept of School Board for Education & Skill Development for Divyangjan & “One Day a Week School” concept.
  • Participated with full team Purple Fest on 21 March 25 at Rashtrapati Bhawan
  • Organized Parents awareness camp under Badhtey Kadam scheme of National Trust in Delhi June’25.
  • Supported the SUGAMYA SAHAYAK YOJANA CAMP of GNCTD at Maharishi Valmiki Hospital Delhi – May25
  • Celebrated Yoga Day in partnership with ISLRTC and Ministry of Ayush at Hansraj College & ISLRTC in June 2025
