Post Matric and Top-Class Scholarship for Persons with Disabilities

Details

To support students with benchmark disabilities by providing financial assistance for higher education through subsistence allowance and reimbursement of academic fees.

Benefits

A. Subsistence Allowance:

  1. ₹1,200/- per month for hostel students

  2. ₹650/- per month for day scholars

B. Fee Reimbursement:

  1. Mandatory and non-refundable fees are reimbursed

  2. Applicable to Post Matric and Top-Class scholarship categories

Eligibility

A. Disability Requirement:

  1. Must have benchmark disability (40% or more) as defined under the RPwD Act, 2016

B. Age & Educational Criteria:

  1. Must be 18 years or above

  2. Must be enrolled in graduate or postgraduate courses

C. Income Limit:

  1. For Post Matric Scholarship: Annual family income should be less than ₹2.5 lakh

  2. For Top-Class Scholarship: Annual family income should be less than ₹6 lakh
