CM’s Disabled Marriage Incentive Scheme

Details

To encourage social inclusion and dignity by financially supporting marriages involving persons with disabilities, whether one or both partners are disabled.

Benefits

A. Incentive Amounts:

1. ₹2,00,000/-

   • If a person with disability marries a non-disabled partner.

2. ₹1,00,000/- (jointly to the couple)

   • If both partners are persons with disabilities.

Eligibility

A. Disability Criteria:

1. Either or both individuals must have benchmark disability (≥ 40%) as per the RPwD Act, 2016.

B. Age Criteria:

1. Male: Minimum 21 years

2. Female: Minimum 18 years

C. Marital Status Criteria:

1. Marriage must be solemnized through religious rituals / social customs or registered in court.

D. Income Criteria:

1. Neither applicant should be an income tax payer.

Application Process (Offline)

A. Submission:

1. Submit the completed application and documents to:

   • Joint Director / Deputy Director, Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Department

   • Or Janpad Panchayat / Urban Local Bodies

B. Verification & Approval:

1. Designated officer: Joint Director / Deputy Director

2. Processing time: Within 15 working days of application submission

Documents Required

A. Identity & Disability Proof:

1. UDID Card

2. Residence Certificate

B. Marriage Proof:

1. Marriage Certificate

2. Certificate from any of the following local authorities (stating the marriage took place with due rituals or legally):

   • MP / MLA

   • District Panchayat President

   • Janpad Panchayat President

   • Mayor / President of Nagar Palika or Nigam

   • Sarpanch

   • Revenue Officer

C. Photographs:

1. Two passport-size photographs each of the bride and groom

D. Application Form:

1. Duly filled prescribed format
