Free Distribution of Rice to Differently Abled Persons

Details

a. To support food security and basic sustenance for persons with disabilities.
b. To ensure nutritional access to economically vulnerable differently abled individuals in the Union Territory of Puducherry.

Benefits

• 15 kg of rice per month
  OR

• Equivalent amount through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)

Eligibility

• Must have benchmark disability (40% or above).

• Must be a resident of Puducherry for at least 5 years.

• Must be a recipient of financial assistance from the government.

• Annual family income should not exceed ₹75,000/-.

Application Process (Offline)

Submit the application in person to one of the following offices:

• Deputy Director, Differently Abled Section, Directorate of Social Welfare, Puducherry

• Assistant Director, Social Welfare Department (Sub Office), Karaikal

• Welfare Officer (i/c), Social Welfare Department (Sub Office), Mahe / Yanam

• Ration Card

• Birth Certificate

• UDID Card (Disability Certificate)

• Income Certificate

• Community Certificate

• Residence-cum-Nativity Certificate (Issued by competent authority)

• Recent Passport-Size Photograph

• Bank Passbook
