To provide financial assistance for various needs such as exhibitions, research, assistive technology, sports, and STEM education for individuals with benchmark disabilities, especially those with high support needs.
Support Includes:
Participation in exhibitions to showcase products and skills.
Presentation of academic papers at seminars/workshops.
Purchase of assistive devices for individuals with high support needs.
Development of STEM labs in schools/colleges.
Participation in national/international sports events.
Reimbursement of tuition fees for STEM education (for 100% blind or 100% deaf without cochlear implant).
a. General Criteria:
Persons with benchmark disability (40% and above).
Applicant must not have received assistance for the same purpose from other sources.
b. Income Criteria:
No income limit for most components.
For STEM tuition fee reimbursement, family income must be less than ₹8.00 lakh per annum.
c. Special Criteria (for STEM Reimbursement):
Must be 100% blind or 100% deaf (without cochlear implant).
For Applicable Components:
Submit physical application with required documents to the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD).
Include proposals and utilization plans where required.
General Requirements:
UDID card or valid disability certificate (40% or more).
Proposal or project details, if applicable.
Utilization certificates and invoices/bills (for reimbursement components).
High support need certificate, if applying for assistive devices.
Academic and identity documents, in case of educational support.
