To provide an opportunity for differently abled persons—especially from economically weaker sections—to explore places of cultural and historical importance, and to gain exposure to India’s rich heritage through a free annual tour.
Free annual tour to selected places of cultural and historic significance.
The scheme is available once in ten years per applicant, subject to selection.
Must have disability of 40% or more.
Age between 18 and 50 years.
Annual income should not exceed ₹75,000/-.
Must be a resident or native of Puducherry for at least 5 years.
Should not have availed this tour scheme in the past 10 years.
Should not be affected by contagious diseases.
Drugs and alcohol are strictly prohibited during the tour.
Step 1: Visit the concerned local Social Welfare Office and collect the application form.
Step 2: Fill in the form, paste a passport-sized photo, attach required self-attested documents.
Step 3: Submit to the appropriate office based on region:
Puducherry: Deputy Director, Differently Abled Section, Directorate of Social Welfare
Karaikal: Assistant Director, Social Welfare Department (Sub Office)
Mahe / Yanam: Welfare Officer (i/c), Social Welfare Department (Sub Office)
Step 4: Request and keep an acknowledgment or receipt of submission.
