B. To provide financial assistance for hiring readers based on their level of education
Annual readers allowance as per educational level:
1. Class IX to XII – ₹3,000 per annum
2. Degree courses – ₹5,000 per annum
3. Postgraduate and professional courses – ₹6,000 per annum
A. Visually impaired persons with 40% and above disability
B. Age between 15 to 17 years
C. Must be a student of 9th standard or above in a recognized/bonafide institution
D. Must provide a certificate from a reader who assists them in reading
A. Step 1: Visit the District Differently Abled Welfare Officer (DDAWO) during office hours
B. Step 2: Request and collect the prescribed application form from designated staff
C. Step 3: Fill in the form and attach self-attested copies of all mandatory documents
D. Step 4: Submit the application form and documents to the DDAWO
E. Step 5: Obtain an acknowledgment receipt with submission date, time, and reference number

B. National Identity Card of the Differently Abled Person
C. Statement of Marks from the previous qualifying examination
D. UDID Card
E. Certificate from Head of the Institution
