To support higher education of students with benchmark disabilities by providing concessional loans for studies in India and abroad

Benefits

Financial Assistance:

1. Loan amount up to ₹50 lakhs.

2. Interest rate: 4% per annum (simple interest).

3. For studies in India or abroad.

4. Repayment schedule aligns with the course duration.

Eligibility

a. Disability Criteria:

1. Must have a benchmark disability (40% or more) as per RPwD Act, 2016.

b. Age Criteria:

1. No age restriction for availing the loan.

c. Income Criteria:

1. No income ceiling.

d. Other Conditions:

1. Collateral/security may be required depending on loan amount and agency norms.

Application Process (Offline)

Apply through:

1. State Channelizing Agencies (SCAs),

2. Partner banks, or

3. Other authorized implementing agencies.

Documents Required

• Proof of admission from the educational institution.

• Age certificate.

• Unique Disability ID (UDID) card.

• Detailed fee structure of the course.

• Additional documents as per agency's requirements (e.g., collateral, co-applicant details).
