Assistance For Purchase of Spectacles by A Differently Abled Person

To reimburse the cost of spectacles for eligible differently abled persons to support their vision health and daily functioning.

Benefits

A reimbursement of ₹500 is provided towards the cost of spectacles (one-time assistance).

Eligibility

• Must have a Benchmark Disability (40% and above) under the RPwD Act, 2016

• Open to all disability types

• Age: Not specifically mentioned

• Residents of Tamil Nadu

Application Process (Offline)

• Visit the office of the District Differently Abled Welfare Officer (DDAWO)

• Collect the application form during office hours

• Fill the form and attach required documents (self-attested)

• Submit the completed form and documents to the DDAWO

• Request an acknowledgment with date and application number (if applicable)
