To provide financial assistance for marriage expenses either to a differently abled person or to the child of a differently abled person.
A. A sum of ₹2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) is provided
B. Applicable for marriage of:
The differently abled person themselves
The son or daughter of a differently abled person
A. The applicant must be a Benchmark Disabled Person (40% and above) as per RPwD Act, 2016
B. The applicant must be a resident of Tamil Nadu
C. The applicant must be:
A differently abled person with a valid disability ID card
Or a parent of the bride or groom, if the assistance is for the son/daughter
D. Legal age for marriage must be met:
Men – minimum 21 years
Women – minimum 18 years
A. Step 1: Visit the District Differently Abled Welfare Officer (DDAWO) office during working hours
B. Step 2: Request a hard copy of the prescribed application form from the designated staff
C. Step 3: Fill in all the required details in the form
D. Step 4: Attach self-attested copies of all mandatory documents
E. Step 5: Submit the completed form and documents to the DDAWO
F. Step 6: Request an acknowledgment/receipt with date, time, and application reference number (if applicable)
A. UDID Card (Unique Disability ID)
B. Birth Certificate of the applicant or the child
C. Marriage Proof (Marriage Certificate or acceptable proof of marriage)
