To support the marriage of two differently abled individuals by providing financial assistance and symbolic wedding-related benefits.
A. Standard Assistance (for all eligible couples)
1. ₹12,500/- in the form of National Savings Certificate (NSC)
2. ₹12,500/- via Cheque or Demand Draft for marriage expenses
3. 8 grams gold coin for making Tirumangalyam (traditional wedding ornament)
B. Enhanced Assistance (if either bride or groom holds a degree/diploma)
1. ₹25,000/- in National Savings Certificate (NSC)
2. ₹25,000/- via Cheque or Demand Draft
3. 8 grams gold coin for Tirumangalyam
4. Certificate of appreciation
A. Both bride and groom must be persons with benchmark disabilities (≥ 40%) under any of the 21 categories defined in Section 2(zc) of the RPwD Act, 2016
B. Age Criteria:
1. Bride and Groom should be 18 years or older
C. Income Criteria:
1. No income restriction
D. Must be residents of Tamil Nadu
A. Step 1: Visit the District Differently Abled Welfare Officer (DDAWO) during office hours
B. Step 2: Request the official application form from the assigned staff
C. Step 3: Fill out the application completely and attach all required documents (self-attested if needed)
D. Step 4: Submit the filled application to the DDAWO
E. Step 5: Collect a submission receipt or acknowledgment with date, time, and unique ID if applicable
A. National Identity Card of the Differently Abled – both bride and groom
B. UDID Card (for both)
C. Marriage Certificate
D. Proof of Age (birth certificate, school record, etc.) – both bride and groom
E. Degree or Diploma Certificate (if applicable – either bride or groom)
