To encourage social inclusion and support marriages where an able-bodied person marries an orthopedically differently abled person by providing financial and symbolic assistance.
A. Standard Assistance (for all eligible couples)
1. ₹12,500/- in the form of National Savings Certificate (NSC)
2. ₹12,500/- via Cheque or Demand Draft for marriage expenses
3. 8 grams gold coin for making Tirumangalyam
B. Enhanced Assistance (if either bride or groom holds a degree/diploma)
1. ₹25,000/- in National Savings Certificate (NSC)
2. ₹25,000/- via Cheque or Demand Draft
3. Certificate of Appreciation
4. 8 grams gold coin for Tirumangalyam
A. One partner must be an orthopedically differently abled person with at least 40% benchmark disability under the RPwD Act, 2016
B. The other partner must be a normal (non-disabled) person
C. Age Criteria:
1. Both individuals must be 18 years or older
D. Income Criteria:
1. No income limit
A. Step 1: Visit the District Differently Abled Welfare Officer (DDAWO) during office hours
B. Step 2: Request the official application form from the assigned staff
C. Step 3: Fill out the application completely and attach all required documents (self-attested if required)
D. Step 4: Submit the filled form to the DDAWO
E. Step 5: Obtain a receipt or acknowledgment with submission date, time, and unique ID (if applicable)
