To provide financial security and social support to persons with benchmark disabilities who fall below the poverty line, by offering a monthly pension.
a. ₹1,000/- per month as pension to each eligible beneficiary
b. Disbursed regularly through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into the beneficiary’s bank account
a. Person must have minimum 40% disability as defined under the RPwD Act, 2016
b. Must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh
c. Minimum age: 18 years
d. Annual family income must fall within the poverty line:
1. ₹46,080/- for rural areas
2. ₹56,460/- for urban areas
e. Ineligible if the applicant is:
1. Already receiving a pension under old age, widow, socialist or similar schemes
2. Receiving free maintenance in any government institution or shelter home
a. Application can be submitted at:
1. District Empowerment Office for Persons with Disabilities
2. Jan Suvidha Kendra
3. Lokvani Centers
b. Submitted documents and eligibility will be verified by local officials
c. Once approved, monthly pension is credited to the applicant’s bank account
a. Passport-size colour photograph
b. Date of Birth/Age certificate
c. UDID Card
d. Copy of bank passbook (with IFSC and account details)
e. BPL certificate (Below Poverty Line)
