The Accessible India Campaign (Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan) is a flagship initiative under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD). It aims to make public spaces, transport systems, and ICT (Information & Communication Technologies) accessible for persons with disabilities (PwDs).

Public buildings (e.g. hospitals, schools, govt. offices)
Transportation systems
Government and public-facing websites/apps
b. Promotes accountability and awareness by enabling citizen engagement in accessibility reforms.

Any citizen can raise a complaint.
Applicable for all disabilities, but no certificate is needed to raise a complaint.
b. Type of Disability:
Not applicable (open for all citizens to report).
c. Income Criteria:
No income criteria apply.
Not applicable – the campaign functions entirely through the online Sugamya Bharat App.
No documents are required. Just a photo/video and description of the inaccessibility issue.
