Cross Disability Early Intervention Centres (CDEICs) provide early detection and intervention services for children with developmental delays or benchmark disabilities.
a. Screening and early identification of developmental delays and disabilities.
b. Therapeutic services (e.g., physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy).
c. Counselling for parents and caregivers.
d. School readiness programs to facilitate inclusive education.
e. Multidisciplinary team approach to address needs across various disabilities.
a. Children up to 18 years of age.
b. Includes:
Children at-risk of developmental delays.
Children with any benchmark disability as defined under the RPwD Act, 2016.
c. No income criteria.
a. Visit the nearest CDEIC at National Institutes, CRCs, or listed government medical colleges.
b. Direct contact or referral from hospitals, schools, Anganwadi centres, etc.
c. Child undergoes screening and assessment at the centre.
a. UDID (Unique Disability ID) Card (if already issued).
If not yet available, the centre may assist in referral for UDID process.
b. Aadhaar card of the child and guardian (may be required for verification).
c. Medical or referral note (if referred by a doctor, Anganwadi, or educator).
