Pension to the Disabled Person

Details

To provide financial pension assistance to persons with benchmark disabilities residing in Chandigarh UT.

Benefits

a. ₹1,000/- per annum
    ➡ For persons with 40% to 70% disability

b. ₹2,000/- per annum
    ➡ For persons with more than 70% disability

Eligibility

a. The applicant must:

1. Have a benchmark disability (40% or above) as per the RPwD Act, 2017

2. Be a resident of Chandigarh UT for at least 3 years

3. Have a family income not exceeding ₹1.5 lakh per annum

Application Process (Offline)

a. Obtain the application form from the Social Welfare Department office or designated centers.

b. Fill and submit the form along with required documents to the Department of Social Welfare, Chandigarh Administration.

Documents Required

a. Photographs & Identity Proof:

1. Two passport-size photographs

2. Aadhar Card

b. Disability Proof:

1. UDID Card (showing 40% or more disability)

c. Residence Proof (minimum 3 years):

1. Any one of the following:

   • Voter Identity Card

   • Ration Card

   • Electricity Bill

   • Any other official proof of 3-year residency
