Petrol Powered Two-Wheeler Scooter/Scooty (with two spare wheels) for Divyangjan

To promote mobility, independence, and social inclusion of persons with locomotor disabilities in Chhattisgarh by providing petrol-powered two-wheeler scooters/scootys (with two spare wheels) to eligible Divyangjan, enabling them to pursue education, employment, or self-employment, and improve their overall quality of life.

Benefits

a. Free provision of petrol-powered two-wheeler scooters/scootys (with two spare wheels) to eligible Divyangjan

b. Priority given to:

  • Students with disabilities

  • Legal guardians with disabilities under the National Trust Act, 1999

  • Persons residing in rural areas

Eligibility

a. General Conditions (for all applicants):

  1. Must be a resident of Chhattisgarh (attach residence certificate)

  2. Age: 18 to 40 years

    • (Provide 10th marksheet or age certificate)

  3. Disability Certificate (UDID):

    • Minimum 60% for students

    • Minimum 70% for employed/self-employed

  4. Driving License: Must hold valid driving license

  5. Income Limit: Monthly income should not exceed ₹20,000 (submit income certificate issued within last 6 months)

  6. Should be able to operate the vehicle independently

b. Additional Conditions Based on Category:

i. For Students:

  1. Priority given

  2. Certificate of regular enrolment from the school/college/university head

ii. For Employed/Self-employed:

  1. Affidavit with payslip/employment proof

  2. For self-employed:

    • Loan payment bill copy and certification from bank/department

iii. For Others (Not students or employed):

  • Application is reviewed by District Joint/Deputy Director

  • Final decision by District Collector’s recommendation

Application Process (Offline)

a. Obtain and submit application in Prescribed Format-I at the district office of the Social Welfare Department

b. Technical assessment will be done

c. District-wise list of selected beneficiaries will be compiled and shared with the Directorate

d. Final distribution will happen post-approval and entry into portal

Documents Required

a. UDID Card
b. Aadhaar Card
c. Disability Certificate (60% or 70% as applicable)
d. Driving License
e. Residence Certificate (Chhattisgarh)
f. Income Certificate (not older than 6 months)
g. 10th Marksheet / Age Certificate
h. For students: Certificate from school/college/university
i. For employees: Payslip, Affidavit, Office certificate
j. For self-employed: Loan bill & certificate from concerned bank or dept.
