To provide residential assistance, care, and mental health support to adult women suffering from mental illness, ensuring a safe and rehabilitative environment.
a. Shelter and residential care for mentally ill adult women.
b. Treatment and psychiatric consultation as per need.
c. Admission based on recommendation by the psychiatrist in charge.
d. Support for those unable to express consent, through guardian/relative request.
a. Must be a female individual suffering from mental illness.
b. No income criteria.
c. Can be admitted:
Voluntarily, by making a request to the psychiatrist in charge.
Through a guardian/relative, if unable to express consent, with psychiatrist's approval.
a. Approach the shelter home psychiatrist and request admission.
b. Admission is granted based on the psychiatrist’s written recommendation.
c. In each case, the local police station must be informed of the new admission.
d. For non-voluntary admissions, Mental Health Care Act, 2017 provisions apply.
