To provide safe and affordable group housing to students with benchmark disabilities pursuing higher education, living far from their educational institutions.
a. Free group accommodation (1 set per 5 students) with rent and utilities covered up to prescribed limits:
Category A City – ₹10,000/month
Category B City – ₹7,000/month
Category C City – ₹5,000/month
(Includes rent, electricity, and other charges)
a. Must be a resident of Chhattisgarh
b. Must have minimum 40% disability (benchmark disability as per RPwD Act, 2018)
c. Must have passed Higher Secondary Examination
d. Must be a regular student in any of the following:
College
Polytechnic
Industrial Training Institute (ITI)
e. Students who failed in any academic session are not eligible
f. Distance between student’s home and educational institute must be more than 20 km
a. A group of 5 regular students (eligible under this scheme) must apply on plain paper with:
Full bio-data of each student
Regular student certificate for each applicant
Residence certificate
Disability certificate (issued by Medical Board)
Certificate confirming that distance is over 20 km, issued by:
Sarpanch (Panchayat area) or
Municipal officials (Corporation/Municipality/Nagar Panchayat)
b. Submit application to the Joint/Deputy Director, Social Welfare Department, District Office
For each of the 5 applicants in a group:
Disability Certificate (Medical Board)
UDID Card (if available)
Residence Certificate
Proof of Admission as a regular student (College/Polytechnic/ITI)
Distance certificate (more than 20 km) issued by competent local authority
