Details

To provide financial assistance to students with benchmark disabilities for pursuing Master's Degree and Ph.D. programs abroad.

Benefits

a. Financial Assistance Includes:

  1. Tuition fees, living expenses, and airfare

  2. Contingency allowance and visa charges

  3. Local travel and health insurance costs

b. Income Limit:

  1. Annual family income should not exceed ₹8 lakh per annum

c. Course Coverage:

  1. Master’s Degree and Ph.D. programs only

  2. Offered only in institutions ranked within the top 500 QS Global Rankings

Eligibility

a. Disability Criteria:

  1. Must have 40% or more benchmark disability

  2. Must possess a valid UDID card or benchmark disability certificate

b. Age Criteria:

  1. Must be below 35 years as of the last date of application

c. Academic Qualification:

  1. Minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in relevant Master’s degree (for Ph.D.)

  2. Minimum 55% in Bachelor's degree (for Master’s program)

d. Admission Criteria:

  1. Must possess an unconditional or conditional offer letter from a QS top 500 foreign institution compatible with scheme guidelines

Application Process (Offline)

a. Accessing the Form:

  1. Download the offline application form from the DEPwD website:

b. Filling the Application:

  1. Complete all fields accurately, including personal, academic, and financial details

c. Submission:

  1. Submit the hard copy of the filled form along with required documents to the designated address mentioned in the form or guidelines

Documents Required

a. Identity and Disability Proof:

  1. Aadhaar Card

  2. UDID Card or valid benchmark disability certificate

b. Academic Documents:

  1. Marksheets and degree certificates of last qualifying examination

  2. Offer letter (unconditional or conditional) from QS-ranked foreign university

c. Income Proof:

  1. Income Certificate issued by a competent authority (not older than 1 year)

d. Age Proof:

  1. Birth certificate or valid government-issued document indicating date of birth

e. Passport:

  1. Photocopy of valid passport

f. Declaration:

  1. Undertaking/declaration regarding not availing any other scholarship for the same course
