To promote social inclusion, rights awareness, and mainstreaming of persons with disabilities (PwDs) by educating the public and stakeholders through various outreach activities. Key aims include:
a) Creating an enabling environment for inclusion of PwDs in all spheres of life
b) Spreading awareness of legal rights of PwDs under the Constitution of India and RPwD Act, 2016
c) Promoting preventive knowledge about causes of disability
d) Training government officials, NGOs, PRIs, families, and communities about their role in empowering PwDs
e) Educating architects and planners on barrier-free design
f) Enhancing outreach through print, electronic, and multimedia campaigns on disability rights, schemes, and incentives
a) Increased public sensitivity and awareness regarding disabilities.
b) Empowerment of PwDs through knowledge of their rights and entitlements.
c) Community involvement in creating inclusive environments.
d) Improved implementation of disability-friendly infrastructure and services.
