a) To encourage and support marriages involving persons with disabilities, promoting social inclusion and acceptance.
b) To provide financial incentives to:
1. An able-bodied person marrying a person with a disability (of opposite sex).
2. Both partners if both are persons with disabilities.
a) Financial incentive provided under the scheme to:
1. The able-bodied spouse, if married to a person with disability.
2. Both husband and wife independently, if both are disabled.
a) Disability Criteria:
1. Either one or both spouses must have 40% or more disability as per RPwD Act 2016.
b) Residency Criteria:
1. Applicant must be a bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh.
c) Age Criteria:
1. Bride must be at least 18 years old.
2. Bridegroom must be at least 21 years old.
d) Marital Criteria:
1. The marriage must be between opposite sexes.
2. Either one or both partners must be persons with disabilities.
3. The marriage should be registered with the competent authority.
e) Timeline:
1. Application must be submitted within 6 months from the date of marriage.
f) Income Criteria:
1. No income limit is applicable.
a) Applicant must fill the application in the prescribed format (Annexure-I).
b) Submit the application to the concerned Tehsil Welfare Officer.
c) The Tehsil Welfare Officer will verify the application and forward it to the District Welfare Officer for sanction.
a) UDID Card of the person with disability.
b) Aadhaar Card of both bride and groom.
c) Bank account details of the applicant(s).
d) Marriage registration certificate from competent authority.
