a) To provide comprehensive rehabilitation services under one roof for persons with disabilities (PwDs).
b) To ensure early identification, therapy, counselling, assistive devices, and vocational guidance.
a) Services Provided:
1. Survey & Identification of PwDs through camps.
2. Awareness generation for prevention and early intervention.
3. Assessment and fitment of assistive devices, including follow-up/repair.
4. Therapeutic services: physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy.
5. Support for getting disability certificates, concessions, and surgical corrections.
6. Counselling for PwDs and their families.
7. Vocational training & self-employment support (linkage with financial institutions).
8. Promotion of barrier-free environment.
b) Cost Sharing (for assistive devices and services):
1. Income up to ₹2.00 lakh/annum – Free of cost.
2. Income ₹2–5 lakh/annum – 50% of the cost.
3. Income above ₹5 lakh/annum – Full cost (user pays full amount).
a) Person must have 40% or more benchmark disability (as per RPwD Act 2016).
b) Annual income-based criteria apply for cost of assistive devices (see benefits section).
c) The beneficiary should not have received assistive devices for the same purpose during the past 3 years.
1. For children below 12 years, this limit is 1 year.
a) A joint bank account in the name of the nominated Nodal Officer cum District Disability Rehabilitation Officer and Secretary of the implementing agency is to be opened in a nationalized bank.
b) The District Management Team must ensure that proper records and financial protocols are followed.
c) A six-monthly progress report along with proposals (Annexure I & II) must be submitted to:
- Director, SCs, OBCs, Minority & Disability Affairs, Himachal Pradesh
a) UDID Card of the person with disability.
b) Aadhar Card of the applicant.
